History of NIC Girls Golf

The IHSAA sanctioned Girl’s Golf in 1972-73. The NIC did not incorporate it as a sport until 2000-01 when all schools fielded a team. Below are a few noteworthy titles of NIC Schools.

  • 1994-95 – Penn won IHSAA State Championship with Head Coach Terry Tulchinsky
  • 1995-96 – SB Clay’s Kathryn Wilkinson was the IHSAA State Champion Medalist
  • 1996-97 – SB Clay’s Kathryn Wilkinson was the IHSAA State Champion Medalist
  • 2002-03 – Penn won IHSAA State Championship with Head Coach Jim Garrett
  • 2004-05 – Penn won IHSAA State Championship with Head Coach Jim Garrett
  • 2005-06 – Penn won IHSAA State Championship with Head Coach Jim Garrett
