2026 Boys Tennis All-Conference Team
Celebrating 100 Years of the Northern Indiana Conference
The 2026 Northern Indiana Conference Boys Tennis All-Conference Team celebrates both an outstanding season of competition and an important milestone in NIC history. As the Northern Indiana Conference celebrates its 100th anniversary, boys tennis takes a special place in that history as one of the original sports offered when the conference was founded 100 years ago.
The tradition of excellence continues in 2026, with South Bend St. Joseph claiming its 13th NIC Boys Tennis Conference Championship. Jacob Hix of South Bend St. Joseph was selected as the NIC Most Valuable Player, earning the honor for the third time in his career. Matthew Halfpenny, also of South Bend St. Joseph, was named NIC Coach of the Year.
The 2026 All-Conference teams recognize the outstanding accomplishments of student-athletes from South Bend St. Joseph, Penn, Elkhart, South Bend Adams, and Marian throughout the season. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees and to South Bend St. Joseph on capturing the conference championship during this historic 100th anniversary season.
Boys tennis also carries a rich history within the NIC. The first conference champion was Gary Froebel, beginning a tradition that continues a century later.
